Petaluma Women’s Chorus announces a FREE concert honoring INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY.
Petaluma Women’s Chorus, directed by Sadie Sonntag and accompanied by Lorelei Sikorski, will perform a 3 PM matinee concert on Sunday, March 8 at the HALL OF THE ABOVE, 199 Petaluma Blvd North, in Petaluma. The chorus of 34 women will sing a program of mixed repertoire including I Believe by Mark Miller and One Voice by Ruth Moody. We will be joined by women of the Rohnert Park Community Chorale singing And When I Rise by Wendy Tuck, and the two groups will merge to sing Be the Light by Franklin Willis (text inspired by the poetry of Amanda Gorman). The Petaluma Women’s Club, founded in 1895, will briefly describe their organization, charitable foundation, and student scholarship programs.
We are excited to welcome the public to join us on this important day of celebration at such an esteemed venue in Petaluma.
